Serious Times Lie Ahead; Are You Prepared…?

More and more people are talking about the need to have a food reserve as an insurance against whatever may happen whether it is economic woes, loss of employment, disability or natural disasters. Congressmen, National talk show hosts and some pastors are beginning to warn folks of this need. It has always made good sense to me but I never knew how until recently when I was offered a sample of 6 FREE meals for only the cost of shipping to try and see if I liked the food. The food was delicious so I decided to start my own food reserve.

The food has a 15 year+ shelf life but you can use it at anytime that you need a meal prepared in about 15 minutes that is nutritious and delicious.

Prepare Your Retirement Through a Network Marketing Opportunity…

There is a way to Prepare Your Retirement Through a Network Marketing Opportunity to take in consideration at a time when saving in America has become almost a thing of the past. Nearly Half of Americans Believe Their Savings Are Insufficient…

The Employee Benefit Research Institute Statistics State:

Workers are having more trouble than ever saving for their retirement; this includes the employer sponsored 401 (K), IRA as well as regular savings. The statistics from the Employee Benefit Research Institute below are very revealing for American workers saving for their retirement.

  • 43% of workers claim that their savings are less than $10,000 in 2010. The number grew at the rate of 4% in just one year from 2009.
  • 27% of workers claim to have less than $1,000. This is 7% more than in 2009.
  • 69% of workers claim they saved anything at all in 2010. This is 6% less than in 2009.
  • Only 16% are confident that they will be able to save for an adequate retirement. In the 20-year history of the survey, this is the second-lowest point.

Obviously part of the decline in savings has been unemployment and the higher cost of living and salaries not keeping up with inflation. While all would agree that saving is important, fewer are saving for whatever the reason.

How then are we to save?

We face some serious questions today as to just what is the best way to save; is it currency; precious metals; stock market or what? If you saved $5,000 in 1981 and did not invest it, it would be worth 5 times less today in 2011 in purchasing power so saving currency certainly is not the best way. We can save currency and invest it in the stock market but that also has been proven very risky with the possibility of losing more than we initially invested. What about precious metals? With gold now more than $1,400 and Silver over $40 per ounce, it is becoming far too expensive for the average person.

Unconventional way of saving

There is another unconventional way of saving that more and more Americans are considering today and that is reverting back to the way our fore fathers did it a few decades ago, saving food. You may be wondering how food could be considered a form of saving. When we save we like to know that our savings are appreciating. Food saved does just that. For example, with the rising cost of food everything we buy today is going to cost much more a few months or years from now. So any investment now in food is going to be more valuable in time.

Our forefathers grew their own food and canned it. Some are still able to do that but most living in cities cannot. The answer for them is to buy foods designed for long term storage like dehydrated foods. Can these foods be used for bartering like gold and silver? The answer is absolutely. In a time when food is not so available to purchase, which is more attractive Gold which can’t be eaten or delicious food? The answer is obvious. Food was used in the history of this country for bartering and even paying for labor.

Saving food without cost

I discovered a way a few months ago not only to save food but to do it without cost. It is through a new network marketing company called eFoods Global. Not only am I saving delicious long term storage food with 15 years + shelf life but I’m also earning money from the sale of food to others and by building an organization of representatives who are doing the same and I am able to earn from their sales. The Paths of All That Forget God

Introduction by Jimmie Burroughs

I recently ran across an obscure verse of Scripture in what is considered one of the oldest writings of the Bible, the book of Job, concerning “The paths of all who forget God”.

I’ve been thinking along these lines for several months now and have done a lot of research and have already written several articles for this website concerning the challenges we face in the United States and in the world today. I decided to write a seies of articles over the next several weeks about some of the predicaments we face as well as some things we can do to prepare for the change that is comming. I hope this will be of an interest to my readers as well as a help. I feel it is very important to your future and mine and that is why I want to give people a heads up on what may happen and what I believe is likely to happen. I believe we are on the path we are on because as a nation we have forgotten God; but of course whether you believe that or not does not alter the facts relating to our present predicaments.

What is the greatest problem facing America?

Best Answer according to Yahoo answers - Chosen by Voters

“People who have turned away from Morale values, and have taken their eyes away from GOD…”

Job 8:13-15

13  So are the paths of all that forget God…

14  Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.

15  He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but

it shall not endure.

My paraphrase of this scripture:

A nation who forgets God is trusting in a spider’s web. Everything it trusts in will collapse.

On the dollar bill still remains the statement “In God we trust” but I’m afraid that we as a nation would be more truthful if it read “In the dollar we trust.”

President Barack Obama said recently that the United States was no longer a Christian nation but now many religions.

In old colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, headquarters for the 13 colonies, is a church building where they still hold services. It was constructed in the 17 hundreds and was used by the forefathers of this county, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and others to worship God.

The pilgrims risked their lives to come here so they could have religious freedom to worship God. The declaration of independence was penned primarily by God fearing men.

Somewhere along the way our nation has turned from God.

Where did it all start? It probably started with the Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial Revolution actually had its start in England in 1773. It started with the first cotton spinning mill. Following this were more inventions and finally factories were built.

England did not want to share their success with the rest of the world so they forbid anyone working in factories to travel abroad.

Meanwhile America was trying to get their own Industrial Revolution started so they offered a significant reward for anyone coming up with the technology to build a cotton spinning mill.

It so happened that an Englishman by the name of Samuel Slater disguised himself and came to America and revealed from memory how to build cotton spinning mill and the ball was rolling and the Industrial Revelation was on its way in America.

Eli Whitney would later invent the Cotton Gin, Robert Fulton, the Steam Engine and Francis Cabot Lowell the American Textile Industry and many other inventers would add to this lineup over time.

The American Dream

The American Dream Began with the arrival of the first pilgrims whose dream was the freedom to worship God in the new world. The Industrial Revolution expanded the dream of financial independence and owning a home. However as automation came to industry and the need for skilled labor lessoned, people begin to look for other means to gain their dream.

That came with the availability of credit and the credit card. Homes could be bought for little down and financed for 30 years and other goods could be bought without any collateral. But people also begin to pursue get rich schemes.

A variety of seductive but elusive strategies have evolved, and today the three leading ways to instant wealth are large-prize television game shows, big-jackpot state lotteries and compensation lawsuits.

Presently however the American Dream is becoming a dream of the past with the recent downturn of the economy and the burst of the housing bubble.

So what lies ahead now? It is going to be different to say the least.

I have come up with three things I believe will happen in this decade that will set it apart from any other decade we have ever seen and bring about the collapse spoken of in Job.

1.      There will be a massive change in how we live our lives.

2.      There will be no way to change the inevitable.

3. It will last for a very long time.

There are three things that are closely related which will determine our future and the collapse of many of the things we now take for granted:

  • Economy
  • Energy
  • Resources

Next in Part-I, I will be talking about the first part of the puzzle that will determine our future concerning “The paths of all who forget God” and that is the economy. This will probably be a 12 part series.

Is the Rising Cost of Living Proof That Food is Becoming Scarce?

Written by Jimmie Burroughs

Oslo, capital of Norway and a major hub for trade is one of the most expensive cities to live in across the world. Below is wha tit cost for food and a movie:

  • Quick lunch: $45.20
  • Beer at a bar: $13.18
  • Kilogram of rice: $6.10
  • Dozen eggs: $8.50
  • Movie theater ticket: $18.80

I live in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area where you can still get a quick lunch for less than $10. Today I bought groceries and paid just 79 cents for a dozen eggs. It is hard to imagine the cost of living being as high as it is in Norway, but there are many indications that is the direction we are headed. Food prices are certainly on the rise.

There is already a shortage of food worldwide and even a greater shortage of money to buy it. Every 3.6 seconds someone across the world dies of starvation and 75% are children; that amounts to 24,000 people who die EACH DAY from starvation or malnutrition.

The problems are many when it comes to feeding a large population. Population growth is one of the greatest problems. Population growth is an exponential system. That means that any growth in population is unsustainable. The greater the population the faster the numbers increase; exponential means speeding up with time and eventually a doubling in time. Our present population will double to 14 billion incredibly faster than it took to reach 7 billion. It is believed the earth can only maintain a population between 8 and 12 billion. Already we are seeing the strain from 7 billion.

For one thing the soil where food is produced is wearing out. It is getting harder and harder to produce enough food to meet the demand. On top of that the cost of fuel will continue to gradually go up making it more expensive to produce food which will demand higher prices at the grocery store. Higher food prices and shorter supplies are a present reality that is not going to improve but will worsen in time.

The Proverbs in the Bible were collected by King Solomon who was the wisest man to ever live. Proverbs 22:4 says, A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” The Living Translation

When we see the handwriting on the wall before our very face, it is time to prepare. I don’t mean to imply that there is only one way to prepare your emergency food supply. I’m just saying that it is wise to have one. Even if you just buy a little extra each time you buy groceries in the form of can goods or items that have a significant shelf life and then be sure to keep them rotated by using first to be stored first, you are at least making some preparation…

Today I mailed a prospect for my eFoods business some information about the business. He works for one of the major food distributors and he is seeing firsthand the rapid rise in food prices and is interested in the eFoods storage and emergency food reserve plan.

The thing I like most about storing food is it is an insurance policy against any situation that could cause a food shortage, whether it is a natural disaster, terrorist attack or just a year of crop failure. Secondly, I like the idea of buying food at a lower price as a hedge against hyper inflation.

It is a comfort to know that I have a year’s supply of food in case of any unforeseen event. The thing about it is I can  save food each month without spending a lot of money.

Above all the other advantages of having a reserve food plan, I can also earn a good deal of money selling the food and recruiting others to help me build a thriving business.

One of the things that makes this business so attractive is that you are investing in food that you can eat at anytime but especially have in case of any future need…it has a 15 year + shelf life.

Of the several businesses I’ve been a part of, this one is the one that attracts the most interest. Unlike nutrition, travel and many other kinds of online businesses, food is something someone can always use and can’t do without. In other words you are not storing up a garage full of stuff that you will probably never use.

The way I got started in eFoods is someone I’ve known for over four years sent me an email and asked me to look at this new business which he believed showed great possibilities. I trusted this person and knew he had made his living for more than 12 years in network marketing. So I looked the company over and agreed with him that I believed it would be an upcoming thing, starting emergency food storage. So I joined and haven’t looked back. Glad I did because I now have good food storage and also have done well in the business. There was actually no pressure, no sales pitch or anything; I just decided it was a good thing.

I believe that if you will seriously think about it and look the company over as I did that you also will see it as a good thing.

It won’t cost you a dime to look. Just follow this link: www.JimmieBurroughs.MyeFoods.com and go to my website and take the tour; at the end of the tour you have the option to order a FREE 4 meal sample packet of the food for just the cost of shipping and handling. When you get your free food and try it, you then can make a sound decision as to whether it is something you want to start or not.

If you decide yes, then go back and join and you will be placed on our Discovery team. The Discovery team has several information and training conferences throughout the week to get you fully informed about the business and product as well as training on how to build your business.

You can get started for as little as $30 or you can start at the top level for around $450. I decided to start at the top level because it positions you to earn the most money. I started making money the first pay period. eFoods pays each week for the previous week.

If this sounds like anything you might be interested in, I urge you to at least take a look at it and then decide. I believe there may be a time coming when there will be a lot of people who will be glad that they started their own food reserve.

On last thing, if you do decide to join our team, you will have some people in your upline who know how to build a network marketing business and we are here to help you. My sponsor, his sponsor and I have a total of 40 years experience in network marketing. Hope you decide to join in with us; I think you will be glad you did.

PS: eFoods is only available presently in the United States.

What Effect Will the Coming Changes in Lifestyle Have on American Families?

Written by Jimmie Burroughs

The Ecomomy, Part II

Anyone who thinks things are going to continue as usual had better open their eyes because it is not going to happen. There is no way for this present age of abundance to continue indefinitely. The very things that caused it, cheap oil and plentiful natural resources are in decline which will affect the way we live in the near future. There will be a shift in lifestyle back to a more simple way of living like it or not.

It is believed that world oil production peeked around 2006. What that means is while the population and world demand is going upward that the supply of oil is on its way down. We have already seen the resulting increase in the price of gasoline to record prices. How is this going to affect the economy? History shows that when the price of oil goes up so does the likelihood of recession.

There is some hope that producing oil from unconventional sources like shale oil and sand oil, which are more plentiful, will offset the reduction of conventional oil. That however has not been the case so far. The problem with unconventional oil reserves is that production is much slower and costly than conventional oil and it also contains contaminants that are environmentally unfriendly.

Another hope is in alternative energy such as wind, ethanol, atomic and solar; all these combined only produce about 6% of the energy needs and that seems to be about peek for the present. Increasing this source is not feasible in the light of the recent Japan reactor problems as well as the limited production of corn for ethanol.

So while the supply of oil is diminishing, the alternative sources are not showing any hope of relieving the problem. The fact remains that if there is not some alternative feasible way of producing the world’s energy needs found and found soon, the effect of depletion of our present energy source is going to have a dramatic effect on the present lifestyles of this nation.

How so? Our economy has been fueled by cheep energy for years. This includes agriculture and industry. If the cost of energy continues to rise, which it will, then the cost of production must also increase which in turn is going to mean a rise in prices at the grocery store and for all other consumer goods. This would not be of so much concern if wages were able to rise equivalently but that has not been the case. Wages have lagged far behind the cost of living.

So the alternative can only be to lower the present lifestyle. That means adopting a much simpler lifestyle that reverts back to the way it once was when families produced much of their own food and lived in much smaller and more affordable homes and traded cars much less frequently.

It is not an end of the world scenario but it will crimp the style of many who think that the quality of life is gauged by material possessions. It might even turn out to be a good thing to get back to a more basic lifestyle that puts more emphasis on family and relationships than keeping up with the Jones’.

The amount of money that is wasted and squandered on junk in this nation alone if discontinued could offset the cost of living to a great degree. There are families who think they need an RV, Ski boat, fishing boat, motorcycle, jet skis, and a cell phone for every family member and a large screen TV for every bedroom and the den.

I grew up in the 40s and 50s and lived in a bungalow one bedroom house with no inside plumbing or electricity until I was 9 years old. I can still visualize that house; it had very little furniture. The living room had a bed a coal stove, a large battery radio (the kind you see in antique stores now) and a few Kane back chairs; the adjoining kitchen had a coal oil cook stove, a table with four Kane back chairs and the old kitchen cabinet with the flour bin and the one bedroom had a dresser and bed with a side table. Oil lamps were used for lighting. My family never owned a TV, had a telephone or indoor bath until after I graduated high school. I was in the seventh grade the first time I ever used a telephone. My dad didn’t own a car during those earlier years. He raised much of our food, had chickens and cows. You know what? I would not trade the way I grew up for the way I see kids growing up today who seldom go out to play and wear their thumbs out texting on their cell phones and playing video games.

We were poor but I never realized it because I was enjoying my life too much. I have lived where I live now for 20 years and I could not tell you the name of the people living across the street but back then I knew the names of everyone in the entire neighborhood. Now I live in a beautiful 9 room home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths along with a library, formal dining and den and I’m not as happy as I was in 1962 when I lived in a house half the size with one bath. It is not hard for me to visualize a much simpler lifestyle with more time for the better things in life which revolve around the family.

When life becomes so complex that it takes father and mother both working long hours just to have enough money to upgrade to the latest gadgets and keep food on the table, the quality of life I knew as a child somehow goes out the window.

What effect will the coming changes in lifestyle have on American families? I hope it will focus on what is really important for a change and bring families back together once again.

Is The End of the Age of America as we know it comming soon?

The Economy Part I

Wrtten by Jimmie Burroughs

Is The End of the Age of America as we know it comming soon? The International Monetary Fund thinks so and  has set a date for when the “Age of America” will come to an end and China will overtake the U.S. economy. It is hard to imagine at this point in time what that will mean to international security and the impact it will have on the American economy. For more years now than anyone presently has lived, the United States has been the hegemonic power of the world. The U.S. economy was three times the size of China’s just 10 years ago; how quickly we have arrived to this juncture.

Although there are several ways to gage the two economies, the sure way is by products and services produced by the two countries; it is a fact that China now is out pacing the U.S. by a large margin. The US economy is growing at about a 3% GDP while China is around 10%. What this means is at that rate China will double its GDP in just seven years according to the 70% rule. That means China will surpass the US by 2016 – just five years out from now. The impact it will have on the dollar as well as the Treasury market is unimaginable but is sure to be devastating. The U.S economy will rise from $15.2 to $18.8 trilion, 17.75% of the world output by 2016 while the Chinese economy will expand from $11.2 trillion to $19 trillion, 18% of world production and therefore surpass the United States.

The above in itself is alarming but it is only part of the story. In 2010 it has been reported that the world production of oil peaked. That means that presently there is just enough energy to fuel present needs around the world, so what is going to happen when China needs twice the amount of energy by 2018 to maintain their economy and the United States needs a quarter more. This does not even take into consideration India and other developing nations who are also going to need an increasing energy supply to fuel their growing economy.

If you are thinking new discoveries of oil reserves’, forget it because new discoveries have been lagging far behind for years. Also alternative energy is not the answer; they provide only 6% of the energy needs. You probably heard of the vast oil reserves the United States has in the West that are greater than all OPEC combined and enough to provide our needs for 2100 years. Well there is just one little problem and that is it is in the form of sand oil and to separate it from the sand requires a lot of fresh water, more than is available and even if there was enough fresh water it is so environmental invasive that it is doubtful that it ever could happen. The problem is that the water used in the process becomes highly toxic and must be contained. If allowed to seep into the earth it could pollute the underground water supply.

Hi my name is Jimmie Burroughs,

This article is the first part of several articles on the economy, energy and the environment.

First let me introduce myself:

  • My formal education was in preparation for the ministry.
  • I spent a number of years as a pastor of a church and now serve as a Chaplin for a state organization.
  • I wanted you to know that I am not trained nor do I claim to be an expert on the economy, energy or the environment.
  • I have for some time been interested in it and have done a fair amount of research concerning it and have written several articles for my website.

I have come to the conclusion that we face several predicaments today and the economy is one of them. I’m not talking about doom and gloom; I’m talking about a change and those who are flexible to change will mount up and meet the challenges but there will be a massive change in how we live or lives.

There is a difference between a problem and a predicament… I will use an illustration to explain it: Suppose there are two mountain climbers scaling up a sheer cliff on the side of a mountain and suppose one of the climbers falls. Since he is connected to the other climber by a rope, it is now a problem but with a possible solution. If the fallen climber can manage to climb up the rope and with the help of the other climber re-attach himself to the mountain, there is a good possibility the two can climb to safety. Now consider another scenario: suppose that when the first climber falls the second climber also loses his grip and falls…it is now a predicament in that there is no solution only a conclusion.

Conclusions also have varying impacts. Let’s suppose that both climbers drop feet first to a ledge 10 feet below and although shaken up are able to resume the climb; the conclusion was not so bad. Suppose though there was no ledge and the climbers dropped a hundred feet before landing…well the conclusion is probably fatal.

So the difference in a problem and a predicament is that a problem has possible solutions where a predicament only has a conclusion that can vary.

  • The reason the economy is a predicament and not a problem is because it is an exponential system…by that I mean that it must grow…consistent growth is exponential growth.
  • What happens if the economy does not grow (The economy is just the amount of gross domestic product produced in a given year’s time.) The GDP that the country produces in a year’s time in order to remain healthy must remain around a 3% to 4% growth, that is it produces 3% to 4% more this year than last; so what happens if it doesn’t? What happened in 2008? Layoffs, high unemployment and recession
  • You see the importance of a growing economy.

The downside of a growing economy is that an exponential growth system is unsustainable; it will eventually collapse. I believe that the collapse of the economy will happen in this decade, sometime before 2020. Everything may seem well at the present but what you must realize is that exponential growth speeds up with time until it finally collapses.

Here is how it works…illustration: Let’s suppose that I have a magic eyedropper filled with water and I take it to the very center of the Astrodome in New Orleans and place one drop on the floor. In a minute it doubles; we now have two drops and it continues to double every minute and suppose the Astrodome is water tight. After 44 minutes the Astrodome is only 8% filled with water. How long do think it will be now until it is filled? Just 5 more minutes because in time exponential growth speeds up dramatically. In just one more minute Two Astrodomes would be full and in a in a few hours the whole city of New Orleans would be flooded more than after Katrina.

  • We have an economy that must grow exponentially…an energy supply that cannot and natural resources that are depleting.
  • What happens when there is only half enough energy and we have to cut production by 50%?
  • What would happen if unemployment reached 50%? The economy would collapse.

I know that this sounds wild but it is not guesswork; it is a mathematic reality. President Obama’s recent speech on a 4 trillion reduction of the budget deficit over the next 12 years is located in the navigational bar above, if you want to read it. He says that his projections are based on the growth of the economy and if it is better than projected, then more can be accomplished. The truth of the matter is that we cannot stand any increase in the GDP over time and neither can we stand a standstill or a decrease so we are in fact trapped.

So what do  we to expect to see in the near future? A massive change in how we live our lives. For those who are flexible to change and are able to adjust to a whole different lifestyle, it will be manageable but to those who make no preparation and are still in the dark pertaining to present world events will suffer the worse.

Yes I know it is a far stretch for some to entertain the thought of “The End of the Age of America” because there is nothing in our recent past to compare to it and for that reason many will not have prepared in the least for it. The question,  ”Is The End of the Age of America as we know it comming soon?”, is a serious question and the best answer seems to be “yes”.

I encourage you to share this message with your family and friends and anywhere you have access on the Internet, a website or social site. I will be posting part two on the economy soon.

What Causes and What Does Shutdown of The Federal Government mean?

“What Causes and what does shutdown of The Federal Government mean?” First off it means that any organization, institution or government agency deemed non essential would be shut down. Museums, Zoos, national parks and government agencies like the IRS etc. Any agency vital to national security would continue and the simple answer for what causes it is there is no money to keep them open.

Could this affect the economy or individuals?

Because everything is so different today than it was the last time the federal government shut down in 1995, no one knows for sure what the fallout will be but it is for sure it will not be good.

You might be wondering what the problem is then; why don’t they just approve the budget and let things stay normal? If the present budget is approved as it stands, it also means that the government will have to borrow the amount of the deficit to continue. There are some in Washington which include Many Republicans and the new ultra- conservative Tea party members who are insisting in a large reduction of the proposed budget and therefore will not approve the present budget as it stands. There have already been some reductions but not enough, so the opposition says.

So presently there is a standoff as the shutdown looms on Friday when the debt ceiling is reached and there are no funds to continue.

The Real Problem

The real problem is the unimaginable 14 + trillion dollar national debt and those who oppose are alarmed and want to keep it from getting further out of control but is that possible is another question? Many believe that it is already past the point of no return and the only remedy is to maintain it, since paying it off is out of the question.

Here is the problem: what it takes for the federal government to get by on now far exceeds what comes in through taxes etc. so it is necessary to continue to borrow more in order to continue things as they are.

The Doomsday Clock

Why then don’t they reduce government programs to the point where there is no deficit? That is easier said than done because more than two thirds of the budget concerns entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and the military which hardly anyone wants to cut. Cuts can and are being made but even then they fall far short of balancing the budget so at any rate the national debt ceiling will once again have to be raised and that brings the hands on the doomsday clock just a little closer to 12 midnight.

What I mean by doomsday is that somewhere in the future there is a day of reckoning where there is going to have to be a showdown.  At that time the government will no longer be able to pay the bills, countries loaning money to the United States will no longer be willing to loan and consequently the dollar will go bust and then there will be world wide repercussions.

At this time the closely knit worldwide economy will fall apart; distribution will come to a standstill; store shelves will empty in 3 days; industry will grind to a halt; unemployment will be monumental; there will be riots in the street; anarchy will be declared and government troupes will try to quail the uprising.

You may be thinking all that is impossibility because it never happened in this country before. I would like very much to believe that you are right but logic tells me differently.

What does Logic tell us?

Listen to some logic: Your family and mine depend on a household income to pay the bills. If our household income is not enough to pay the house payment, what do you suppose happens…foreclosure! If we are no longer able to pay the car payment, what happens…reprocess ion! Why then do you think the Federal Government is different? When it can no longer pay the bills or borrow the money or print the money, what is going to happen…just things as usual! If this is what you believe, you better wake up from your pipe dream…it is not going to happen! So What Causes and what does shutdown of The Federal Government mean? To you and me it means:

What Will it Take to Wake People up to the Coming Financial Calamity?

How high will gold and silver have to go to convince you that something is wrong with the dollar? How much does the national debt have to be before you catch on to what is happening? Will you wait until it is too late to do any preparation? Are you so blind that you believe all is well on the home front and nothing will happen that Uncle Sam can’t remedy?

I tell you friends it is time to open your eyes. There is a financial storm brewing ahead that is going to be something like this world has never witnessed before and the pitiful thing is that most will be totally unprepared. You don’t have to believe me, just do a little research for yourself. If you are at all bright, you can understand that things are sure not right and the future is not the rosy American Dream we once had.

We are headed right into hyperinflation and it is not far out in the future; we are going to see an increase in food prices this year like we haven’t seen before; in fact it is already starting if you haven’t noticed. The cost of fuel is on its way up and I read today that $200 barrel oil is a real possibility. If you think gasoline is high now just wait a while and you are going to see it double.

It is not my purpose to scare you; I just want to warn you so you will be ready. Average people don’t have the money to go out and invest in gold and silver but you can invest in food and that is going to be even better than gold or silver. I’m not just saying you have to join me and my method of storing but that you certainly can choose your own course of action but whatever you do don’t wait until it is too late to prepare.

Read my article on food storage. Plan a course of action; it may be that you can at least pick up a few extra can goods and some extra rice and beans and other staples to tide you over for a few weeks at least; to do less than that is sheer stupidity. The thing is that if nothing else, the food you buy at today’s prices is a good hedge on the coming inflation.

What Will it Take to Wake People up to the Coming Financial Calamity? This article and the following video should be enough unless you are really a hard case.

Take a few minutes and watch the You Tube video below and see if it will clarify things a bit better for you:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6C5xc2gF5A

America loves the song Some Radio Stations Are Banning…

The song you are about to listen to is from a Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert. They received an immediate resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it!

Sadly, major radio stations wouldn’t play it because it was considered ‘politically incorrect’. Consequently, the song was never released to the public. Now Congress is getting involved.
Our president is saying that it is not fit for release because it offends some. So America, see what you think.. can we say CENSORSHIP If this offering speaks to your heart and you feel you want to share it with friends and loved ones, please do.

The Greatest Problem Facing America…

Today the whole world is perplexed with problems which have no ready solution. The greatest problem facing America however is somewhat different from the rest of the world. Our greatest problem is debt and the fuel that feeds that problem is greed.

There is a story of a rich man in the Bible; it is one of the parables of Jesus but I believe it is based on a real story of a man who is a typical example of many in this country today; it is found in Luke 12:16-21:

16And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

17And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to store my fruits?

18And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I store all my fruits and my goods.

19And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?

21So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

“There was a certain rich man” Jesus says, which indicates to me a real person.

When I was growing up, there was one thing you never saw, a U-Haul storage or any other kind of storage because in those days people just didn’t have anything to store; today they are everywhere. Billions of dollars are spent annually on storage units across the nation to store junk. Like the rich man of the Bible, Americans keep collecting more and more stuff that they don’t need and can’t use and even pay as much as $2400 a year to store it. We are a nation becoming rich in things but poor in relationship to God.

All those marketing agents in New York City who spend every day trying to figure a new angle to get us to buy something we don’t need and could well do without are playing us for fools and we keep getting suckered in.

The fuel that feeds our ever growing and insatiable appetite for more things is the same as fueled the rich man of the Bible and that is greed. There is always something a little bigger or a little better that people just can’t live without. I have been down the same road but you know what, I finally figured it out; I’m no happier now with a 9 room house with 3 baths than I was in 1962 when I lived In a house half the size with one bath.

Because of our insatiable appetite for things, the average American family now has a credit card debt between $8,000 and $11,000. Uncle Sam is even worse with the largest national debt in history, $14,247,625,592,155.00 and that number is increasing at the alarming rate of: $4,162,235,669.87 every day.

For further information check the U.S. Debt Clock: http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Do you have any idea how much money fourteen trillion is? fourteen trillion in new crisp one hundred dollar bills would weigh 308,647,164 pounds; it would take up 5,600,000 cubic feet; it would take 2,352 40’ shipping containers to hold it; it would require a freight train about 18 miles long to haul it.

The boxes below show how out of control public debt in this nation is and it is staggering:

Current Debt Held by the Public Total Public Debt Outstanding
03/17/2011 $16,153,147,600,165.07 $55,277,069,097,180.80

See information on the Debt Subject to the Limit.

We are indeed a bankrupt nation; what is the answer? The sad part of it is that no one has an answer.

We do know what brought the problem on; in one word “spending”.

Why can’t the government just quit spending so much money and lower the national debt until we are out of debt? One of the largest expenses is Social Security. Can we just cut out Social Security period? The answer is simple, no way!

The second largest expenditure is military; can we just cut out the military spending? of course not, we know we need the military. So it comes down to penny annie cuts that is a drop in the bucket.

So can we tax our way out of it? If every person was required to pay 100% of their salary for taxes, the government would still need to borrow money at the end of the year to maintain our standard of living.

How then does the government continue to function? They continue to borrow and then print new money to pay for it. You wonder why gold and precious metals are so high with gold selling for over $1,300 per ounce? It isn’t that gold has suddenly gotten so rare and therefore more expensive; it is because the dollar is worth less and therefore it takes more of them to buy an ounce of gold.

Here is the deal: if you take a twenty ounce water bottle and pour in a couple ounces of orange juice and then begin to add water, by the time the bottle is full there is hardly any real value as for as orange juice. So it is with the dollar; with the Feds continually printing more money, the value of money continues to go down to the point where the dollar has shrunk in value by 95%.

You may wonder why the Feds don’t just quit printing money; If they did there would be no other recourse but bankruptcy; they need to print more money to pay the debts. By the way if you and I set up a printing press in our basement and begin to print money to pay our debts, we would be arrested and thrown in jail.

I’m a positive person but also a realist and I see no way out. What will happen then? The dollar is ultimately going to  fail; it may be this year or next or the year after but it is imminent.

What will happen then? According to Christopher Laird and I agree, the following would happen like the domino effect:

  • The US and Western economies will all face insolvency simultaneously, with the US first in line.
  • The entire Western industrial/consumer/credit economy will fall apart so fast it will make your head spin. The supply chain will stop and stores will empty in less than 3 days.
  • The USD will fall over 50% in one week’s time, till it temporarily stabilizes before its final last gasp. Remember the Lehman panic over those several weeks? You have seen nothing yet.
  • Worldwide currency panic will set in paralyzing what’s left of the world economy, that means the ‘emerging markets’ stop dead too.
  • China has a revolution, or goes into military mode, which is worse.
  • A one world currency will be demanded and implemented, and it better be fast too since the cities only have 3 days food on average…(Christopher said,  “I know for a fact that a one world currency can be implemented electronically and turned on in one hour, if they wanted!”)

From the Prudent Squirrel, By Christopher Laird

One of the most devastating things for America is that that the cost of fuel is going up to be more in line with what the rest of the world is already paying and that is up to $8 a gallon. Since our economy is oil based economy, it will put a squeeze on industry in this country like never seen before. It will make the great depression of the 20s a 30s seem like a picnic.

America for years now has enjoyed having the world currency backed by dollars. When the dollar goes bust we will lose that status which will have dire consequences: We will be paying far more for all imports including food, cars and electronics.

Below is how the budget is generally allocated; what would you cut to lower the national debt?

Past Military, $484 billion:
• Veterans’ Benefits $94 billion
• Interest on national debt (80%) created by military spending, $390 billion

Human Resources $789 billion:
• Health/Human Services
• Soc. Sec. Administration
• Education Dept.
• Food/Nutrition programs
• Housing & Urban Dev.
• Labor Dept.
• other human resources.

General Government $304 billion:
• Interest on debt (20%)
• Treasury
• Government personnel
• Justice Dept.
• State Dept.
• Homeland Security (15%)
• International Affairs
• NASA (50%)
• Judicial
• Legislative
• other general govt.

Physical Resources $117 billion:
• Agriculture
• Interior
• Transportation
• Homeland Security (15%)
• HUD
• Commerce
• Energy (non-military)
• Environmental Protection
• Nat. Science Fdtn.
• Army Corps Engineers
• Fed. Comm. Commission
• other physical resources

One of the things pointed out above that is likely to happen if the dollar fails is:  “The entire Western industrial/consumer/credit economy will fall apart so fast it will make your head spin. The supply chain will stop and stores will empty in less than 3 days”. The question is, how well prepared for a scenario like that are you? Do you have adequate food and other daily needed supplies to carry you over until things stabilize? If you are like the majority of Americans, you are not even aware of the above let alone being prepared for it.

I am preparing for “The greatest problem facing America” and I believe it is my mission to warn others to do the same. I do not mean to scare anyone with what I’m saying but practical sense and knowledge tells us that we do need to do some preparation. You don’t have to take my word; pastors across the nation are warning their people to store up some food and other daily needed items. Talk hosts are telling their audience the same. Take time to do a little research on the internet on this subject; there is plenty on You Tube.
